In commemoration of World Environment Day 2026, PT Sanbio Laboratories organized Green Action Day under the theme "Building a Clean, Healthy, and Sustainable Workplace" on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at the factory premises of PT Sanbio Laboratories.
This event reflects the companies' commitment to creating a clean, healthy, and sustainable workplace while raising employees' awareness of the importance of environmental conservation through practical actions that can be incorporated into everyday activities.
The event began with an opening ceremony, followed by a symbolic tree-planting session as a representation of the companies' commitment to supporting reforestation efforts and preserving environmental balance. The tree planting symbolized the belief that every small action taken today can create lasting benefits for future generations.
The next session featured a Pest Control Training, providing participants with valuable knowledge on the importance of pest management as part of maintaining workplace sanitation, cleanliness, and environmental health. Through this training, employees gained a better understanding of effective pest control practices to help create a safe, comfortable, and hygienic working environment.
As part of the companies' commitment to fostering an environmentally responsible culture, participants were also introduced to the Green Cycle Program, an initiative focused on waste reduction and segregation based on the 5R principles: Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Repurpose, and Recycle. The program encourages employees to adopt responsible waste management practices and minimize their environmental impact.
The enthusiasm of participants continued during the Eco Sprint Challenge, an engaging waste-sorting competition that tested both the speed and accuracy of participants in separating waste into four categories: organic waste, paper & cardboard, plastic/cans & glass, and residual waste. The activity served as a fun educational experience while reinforcing the importance of proper waste segregation at the source. To further support the campaign to reduce single-use plastic waste, all participants were required to bring their own reusable tumblers throughout the event. In addition, all waste generated during the activities was properly sorted according to its category as a direct implementation of the Green Cycle Program.
Through the successful implementation of Green Action Day 2026, PT Sanbio Laboratories hope that environmental responsibility will extend beyond the celebration of World Environment Day and become an integral part of the companies' culture. By working together and embracing shared responsibility, the companies aim to create a cleaner, healthier, more comfortable, and more sustainable workplace for everyone.
